Trying A Liposuction Alternative

By Michelle Bery With the availability of plastic surgery in todays world, its no wonder that more and more of us are turning to medical intervention. But the costs, risks, and recovery associated with liposuction should give interested parties pause. Instead, experimentation with a liposuction alternative could yield much the same results as surgery without the negatives associated with such a medical procedure. Liposuction is a surgical procedure wherein the surgeon makes tiny incisions around an area that is storing an excessive amount of body fat. Through the incisions, an instrument is inserted that literally vacuums the fat from the body. Most often, the patient is put under general anesthesia and, of course, there are always risks associated with that. Further, the surgeon very actively removes the fat during a liposuction procedure pushing the instrument into the body firmly. This can leave the patient feeling sore afterwards. If you consider the risks and recovery associated with liposuction, you can understand why more and more people are seeking a liposuction alternative to achieve the desired results for their body. Additionally, the truth about liposuction is that it in no way takes the place of proper diet and exercise. You can not simply have a liposuction procedure in order to lose weight and then continue to eat poorly and live a sedentary lifestyle. Liposuction is by no means a magic bullet; and the patients who think that it is are very often sorely disappointed. Rather, the very principles of a healthy lifestyle are the most effective liposuction alternative. Eating a healthy diet rich in whole foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins will go a long way to transforming your body. Not only are you protecting yourself against a variety of illness but you are literally sculpting lean muscle mass through diet. Of course, the second portion of this is consistent physical exercise. Your program should combine cardiovascular work with weight training to achieve a well-toned body. When addressing the trouble spots that so many people turn to liposuction to solve, you may want to consider working with a personal trainer as a liposuction alternative. A trainer can show you how to target these spots with specific exercises that achieve results. You may find that once you begin implementing a liposuction alternative that the thought of surgery becomes less and less attractive. Research some methods that may work for you; when it comes to avoiding surgery, it is certainly worth the try. 5 Tips on Establishing Yourself As An Expert In Your Community

By Nancy Heimstra Wondering how to get new patients into your practice? Wondering how to distinguish yourself as unique from the other practitioners in your community? Here are 5 surefire ways to get visibility in your area. 5 Tips on Establishing Yourself As An Expert In Your Community 1. Get to know your community. In my county there are two very large retirement communities. There is a lake with an association. I am in Southern California, so the beach is close. There are sailing clubs and surfing clubs. There are athletic clubs. From the list you generate, find what excites you. What could you write about and speak about with enthusiasm? Every one of those choices has a very specific niche that could be targeted. 2. Take this information and create a written report. What would your target audience like to hear about? The retirement community would love to hear about arthritis research, or new facts regarding longevity. Dont get too technical, but do not assume your audience does not know anything about the subject. My father had sciatic problems and knew all the latest research from doing internet searches. Make it interesting and very specific for your target audience. 3. Contact the appropriate organization. If your audience is the surfing community, find all the clubs and associations having to do with surfing. Find out if they have a newsletter and submit your article. Inquire about writing a column. You do not have to make your article or report lengthy. Appeal to the mindset and really think about what problems they might have and offer a solution. Establish yourself as the person to go to with xxxxx problem. You are the expert! You are familiar with the problem and you have a solution. 4. Take your article or report and turn it into a presentation. There are so many opportunities everywhere to do public speaking. There are clubs and associations that are begging for speakers. Does the organization you submitted your article to have meetings that have guest speakers? Do not limit yourself to thinking you have to do the standard Basic Chiropractic 101 speech. You do not have to educate them about chiropractic. You are there to establish yourself as the expert in your niche. 5. Contact your local newspaper and send out a press release. Let the paper know where you are doing your presentations. This is another way to raise your level of expertise in your community. *Remember that all of these are designed to establish yourself as a credible expert in your field. Your intention is to attract patients by planting seeds. They may not have the specific problem you are addressing at that moment, but if they should, they will have your card and remember you as the one with the expertise.* Call now for a business consultation session valued at $100.00. Clever Bachelor Party Ideas

By Gail Leino Bachelor Party is the last night of the guy being a bachelor. The tradition of bachelor party goes back to the Roman times. In bachelor party, the friends of the groom decide as to what kind of bachelor party they are going to throw for their friends. One of the important things that need to be considered before the party being planned is that the friends should consider the nature of their friends. This party should not be something where the guy would feel really uncomfortable, but should be something that is according to his moods and personality. Another advice that I give to most of my clients is that they should never plan a Bachelor Party the night before the wedding. The bachelor party must be arranged either a month or three weeks before the wedding so that if there are any mishaps, there is time to recover and the schedule of wedding does not get disturbed. So the timing of the bachelor party is really vital so that all of the friends are able to make it for this special event. For a Bachelor Party, if the guy wants a sober time, then friends must not push him to go to a strip club, but should rather focus on having the time together discussing the different thoughts and plans that he has in his mind. It can also serve as a good time to get oneself de-stressed from any thoughts that are making him feel bad inside him. Talking about any bad feelings or any fears would just clear out the heart and would make the guy feel really good, so I prefer most of my clients to talk as much as they can so that they can help their friends, as it works really good for all. Mrs. Party... Gail Leino takes a common sense approach to planning and organizing events, celebrations and holiday parties with unique ideas for bachelor party supplies and fun free educational party games. Natural Alternatives vs. Prescription Drugs

By Chris Read Natural Alternatives: A growing phenomenon across this world which is a very diverse concept yet very divine and instrumental in healing health diseases. It might be thought as any health care which is not a part of the mainstream medical establishment. Despite the tremendous disparity in philosophy, organization, practice, and origins of the myriad types of alternative medicine, the growing acceptance and use of these therapies is part of a single cultural phenomenon. It is also an extremely dangerous and pretty costly too. Firstly let me deal with the critical differences between mainstream medicine and alternative medicine. And why the latter is cause for concern. In short, prescription drugs are a scientific endeavor, and alternative medicine is not.
We know that alternative medicine (Natural Alternative) was being used in ancient times long before conventional medicine came into the scene. Mainstream medicine is finally taking note of the herbal industry. More and more people are taking note of herbal therapies to treat various kinds of ailments in place of mainstream medicine. Herbal supplements are a type of dietary supplement that contain herbs, either singly or in mixtures. An herb (also called a botanical) is a plant or plant part used for its scent, flavor, and/or therapeutic properties. It is interesting to note that there were not so many mortal pestilence diseases in those days. What has caused this never-ending increase of deadly diseases that is inflicting such havoc on the body today? If conventional medicine was the answer to these diseases, why have they increased, and why are so many people dying from these devastating illnesses? And why do so many people seem to be convinced that alternative medicine made by God do not have healing virtues as the conventional medicine made by man? Why is information about cures by alternative medicine often suppressed even though conventional medicine very often interferes with the natural process of healing? People are so coerced to use conventional medicine that they refuse to even give alternative medicine a chance because advertisements have such great influence when heard often enough, that the public is convinced. Have you ever noticed the way conventional medicines are advertised? It seems apparent that every effort is made to highlight the possible negative effects. Next what comes into the scene is complementary medicine, another treatment which is used along with conventional medicine to affect a cure. However, not all complementary medicine must be used with conventional medicine to be effective. For example: When the word "cholesterol" comes to mind some of us may think of it as deadly. The truth about cholesterol is that it isn't deadly at all, it's a vital substance. Cholesterol is actually a very important part of our bodies because it's used to form cell membranes and is needed for other functions in our bodies. However, it's when there are excessive levels of cholesterol in the blood that cholesterol can become dangerous. There are different ways one can develop high cholesterol. Your body, mainly the liver, can produce too much cholesterol and a poor diet will almost always do it. You MUST follow a strict, permanent, and healthy lifestyle to take control of your cholesterol. This includes: 1) Getting more active. 2) Eating foods that are low in cholesterol. 3) Maintaining a diet rich in soluble fiber. There are also many natural alternatives that can be used to compliment a healthy lifestyle. Lecithin, which is a natural substance derived from the soybean, is one of the most effective supplements available to lower cholesterol. What just hovers onto my mind is why most people dont try natural remedies. Very often a simple massage is the answer to a problem. I personally have not had a headache for many years. There was a time when I was headache-prone, and got into the habit of using synthetic medicines to ease the pain, but after I decided to try natural treatments and medicines, I changed my diet from eating 'junk' foods and tried to stop using those synthetic headache remedies. Now they are virtually no more a part of my life. I have helped many, many persons to be rid of a headache by just simply giving them a massage as mentioned above. Many had headaches lingering for days, and after about 20 minutes of massage, they miraculously stopped. Think of the thousands of persons who might have been alive today if only they had known, and had been encouraged, to use certain natural remedies to be healed. It is not the intention of this article to condemn the use of conventional medicine, like prescription drugs. There have been countless such cases where, without the administration of conventional medicine, many persons would not have survived. However, it is my hope that conventional medicine in the field of drugs will one day give way to alternative medicine, and conventional medicine will retain its place in the field of surgery and other traumatic conditions where it cannot be replaced. Natural alternatives are not only much safer than using prescription drugs but also a lot cheaper. Evolving Health Services

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Adam_Jaylin] Adam Jaylin More often than not, every time you begin with the process of making a claim for your medical health insurance, it begins with the referral of the friendly General Practitioner, GP. Now this all important GP is going to get more helpful as government's GPs tsar says that NHS and its patients could save a lot of time and money if they are being treated by the GPs instead of the specialists. All the GPs specialize in one field or another during their medical training and if they are asked to treat patients instead of referring them to the specialists or consultants, it would be efficient use of the present resources. It would mean less pressure on hospitals and more time for them to deal with emergency services and core specialist services. In the process to make the largest employer in Europe function few more policy changes have taken place. The new regulation will allow National Health Service to recover the costs of medical treatment from insurers in cases where compensation is paid for personal injury. The recognised trade organisation of the health insurance sector the Association of British Insurers made it clear two years back that it would add a further 5% to the cost of employers liability cover for an average business. These few steps taken is public welfare will help towards the cause of better public health but few things that even the public should keep in mind are the way they choose their health insurance policy. Be it an individuals health insurance or your familys health cover one should be judicious in selecting the right avenue to avail it. Regular and timely payment of the premiums is essential so its important that one should avail such a health insurance policy that is affordable for you! Remember affordable [http://www.ukonlinemarket.co.uk/Insurance/Health_Insurance.php] health insurance policy doesnt mean a cheap health policy! The definition of the term affordable is relative so what is affordable for you may not be affordable for me! So affordable will generally cover most of your basic/essential health requirements and for emergency needs the NHS is always there. But cheap will mean that the policy will cover only very few things and might leave some situations out. So while taking a low cost scheme that is offering limited cover, one should insure that his essential requirements are in place. More often than not in-patient treatment and day-patient treatment will be covered but if you need to consult a specialist as an out-patient then what will be the procedure or the damages (expenses!) to do that. The range of hospitals that you will go to get treated might also differ with the amount of premiums. So these are little things that can make a big difference in your life. Your Own Worst Enemy

By Martin Stanwyck I need to lose weight. For some people, this phrase has become a mantra. We attach labels to ourselves when we look in the mirror. Fat, disgusting, overweight, ugly all of them are damaging words followed by a repeated proclamation that tomorrow will be different. I need to lose weight. Tomorrow comes. The day starts out really well great in fact. You drive past McDonalds and eat a low-fat bagel for breakfast. You settle on a turkey sandwich and an apple for lunch. Dinner is even a respectable combo of chicken breast and steamed vegetables. Youre doing great. You have to do this, you keep telling yourself. You need to lose weight. The evening drags on. Its been hours since you had dinner. The kids are eating bowls of Rocky Road ice cream. You grab a banana instead, but you find yourself watching them as they lick the cold treat off their spoons. You bite your bottom lip. No. You cant have ice cream. You need to lose weight. Youre not going to lose weight. You always do this. It will be just like the last time. Just go ahead and eat the ice cream. You know you want to. What does it matter? Youre going to be fat anyway whats another bowl? Youre already fat. Youll never lose the weight. How many times to we beat ourselves up over dieting? When it comes to the battle to lose weight, were often our own worst enemies. We obsess over the fact that we need to lose weight but we doom ourselves to fail. We remind ourselves of unsuccessful past attempts and we ask Why will this time be any different? It can be. It all boils down to willpower. You already know that you need to lose weight, but you are used to failing. You need to believe that you can accomplish your goals. Sometimes, you just need a little something to boost your confidence. Hoodia Gordonii can help you by giving you the willpower you need to lose weight. This cactus-like plant has been around for centuries but was only just recently released to the public. All natural and completely safe, this vegetable works in conjunction with the hypothalamus in your brain to stop hunger and make you feel as if youve already eaten. This means no more late night snacking, no more growling stomach. It will be easy to cut calories and shed those unwanted pounds. It sounds like a hoax, granted, but its not. Hoodia Gordonii was actually a plant consumed by Bushmen in Africa to ward off hunger during long journeys. When animal tested, the amazing discovery was made. The animals began losing weight. Now this incredible product is available to the general public, an answer to some peoples prayers. If you need to lose weight, Hoodia Gordonii can give you the willpower you lack. Its not magic. It simply takes away your interest in food. So many people have already benefited from this revolutionary new product. How could so many people be wrong? When weight loss is the necessary outcome, using Hoodia Gordonii is almost essential. Can Christian Comedy Be A Ministry? Part Two

By Fred Passmore Part Two: Why Christian Comedy is viewed with distrust by the Church. It is a historical irony that although the Church has been instrumental is promoting art as a whole to glorify God, no institution has been more resistant to new expressions of art for that purpose. Whenever an artist introduces a form of art unfamiliar to the church, it is initially viewed with distrust, as if the church suspects that the message has been made subject to the medium (in a reverse of the fears of the world). Aware that the theme of glorifying God is tantamount, the sacred critic often feels that art which expresses much of the creativity and talent of the artist is in some way detracting from the message, and indeed, may be introducing undesirable elements of the world into the church. It is the desire to separate the worldly from the sacred, without recognising that all of humanity has certain things in common, that has created this friction; a friction which has put the heat on the Christian artist striving to reach all men by all means, as did Paul (who was also criticised for it).
God Himself has used this method to communicate. Consider the events of Pentecost! The disciples had gathered at Jesus' command to await the coming of the Holy Spirit to endue them with power from on high. What was the evidence, beyond the initial visible flames of fire that descended on each of them? The ability to speak in languages other than their own native tongue. To what purpose? To edify the hearer, who would not have understood them had they been speaking the Gospel message in any other language. So God reached out to the many people from other countries, using the gift that He had given the disciples. God has given us various gifts, and we are to use them as good stewards to reach as many as we can with the message of the Gospel. We may be using, in a manner of speaking, another language than is understood by the other believers around to do this. But that in no way invalidates the message being communicated, as long as it is understood by the hearers for which it is intended. It is understood by those who need it most; by those who are spiritually receptive and open to it. Hence Jesus words; "He that hath an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches." Christian comedy, when rightly used as a tool, is as powerful a medium as any other to communicate what the Spirit is saying to the church. Further, it is a means not only of reaching the lost with the message in a way that is palatable to them, but also of uplifting the heart of the believers already in the church. As in preaching, the message is balanced between enlightening the lost and exhorting the saved. Comedy as as legitimate a method of ministering as playing a musical instrument, singing a song, teaching a class, preaching a message, and so on. Emphasis on legitimate; it is not as common. It is also not as necessary, either. A church can do without a comedian; it cannot do without a good preacher or other ministries. However, it can benefit by a Christian comedian in the same way it can benefit by a special speaker, a talented and dedicated singer or musician, or any number of other form of the ministering arts. Consider the message of "the whole body is not the eye; if it were, where would be the hearing?" Just so, although there are parts of the body of Christ that may not be as evident or important as some others, they are still needed and beneficial. Imagine a church that promoted preaching to the total exclusion of music, singing, congregational worship or participation. Or a church that was devoted to only music and singing? Neither would be a well-rounded, effective (or well-even attended) house of worship. Look upon the Christian comedian as the funny-bone of the church! It has it's place in the body. It is worth mentioning here that skits are viewed with some distrust by those who simply doubt their usefulness. They question (rightfully so) whether skits are imparting enough of the Word to be effective, and feel that they may distract from serious preaching. This may certainly be the case if the skits are only done for fun, and contain no clear message. Skits, interpretive dance, videos, etc., when used in a church service, that are interjected only to "lighten things up" and make the church more "user-friendly" are worse than ineffective, they can be downright deadly to a worshipful atmosphere and serious consideration of eternal truths and destinies. A skit that is presented as part of a Sunday service or revival must be meaningful. This does not exclude funny skits, as long as they are both funny and meaningful. Only when written and performed with the mind to minister, (as are all of the skits on this site) and when intended to add to, affirm and confirm the preaching of a full-gospel, called-of-God minister, will they be used of God. If they are used in a setting besides Sunday church services, like special events where there is no preaching, the level of Word content is even more important, as it may be the only exposure to the Gospel that some there will have. There is NO EXCUSE for "just for fun" skits by believers. Everything should be done to the glory of God. Christian comedy, when expressed by a called and gifted Christian, can be a blessing to the saved and a means of reaching the lost. This is not to say that there are no "bad apples" in the area, any more than that of other ministries. This is to debate the legitimacy of the art, not the spirituality of individual artists. There are people living holy, and being used of God in Christian Comedy, just like there are such people in Southern Gospel singing groups. And there are a good amount of misguided, and just plain hypocritical performers in Christian Comedy, just like there are such people in Southern Gospel singing groups. I know first-hand the truth of that statement, having been heavily involved in both areas for years. I know, I'm in danger of stepping on some tender, sensitive tootsies with that statement, but that's never stopped me before. The term "sacred cow" applies to any area of ministry that is thought to be more holy than others simply due to a person's love for it. News flash, folks: people are alike all over. And God uses them in spite of it. Your type of music or ministry, whatever your preference, is no more "righteous" than any other simply because you prefer it. And neither are the performers. So, this writer hopes that if you have in the past downgraded or criticized practitioners of the Christian comedy art simply because you distrusted it, that you will --if nothing else--allow each person to answer God's call in the way he feels led without hindrance or judgement. But further, this writer hopes that you will open your heart and mind to accept the laughter and joy that can be imparted through this ministry, and not be such a sourpuss! Your Wedding Planning Checklist

By Denise Sanger The announcement for a wedding can be great, however wedding planning can seem like a large task. There are so many things to consider with wedding planning, that we have formed a short wedding planning checklist to give you some ideas of where to start. One of the key things most brides think about when wedding planning, is what type of dress are they going to display? Wedding dresses are very important in wedding planning, because weddings like all things involve style and personal taste. There are so many wedding dress styles coming out, that it is good to check up on the latest style to see which one will best work for your wedding. During your wedding planning you must decide if you would like to have an indoor or outdoor wedding. Deciding on if the wedding will be indoor or outdoor will help you narrow your wedding locations to simplify your wedding planning. Not only will this make your wedding planning easier, but it will also help you focus on what type of wedding decorations and arrangements to use. During your wedding planning you must decide upon what color scheme to use. Colors can be chosen to compliment the weddings background as well as all thew wedding ceremony participants. Color coordination can greatly enhance the atmosphere of a wedding. Depending upon what colors you use greatly impacts the layout of the wedding decorations and arrangements. There are many types of wedding decorations and arrangements to choose from. You must also make sure that these decorations and arrangements coordinate with the wedding dress and chosen wedding outfits for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Some people include themes into their wedding planning. This is a great idea that keeps everything not only looking coordinated but also has the atmosphere complimenting the chosen attire and color scheme of the wedding. The most important part of your wedding planning is the wedding bands that will be used. This is very important, because you want to select wedding bands that compliment the personalities of the bride and groom. The best wedding bands to select are the type of bands that reflect meaning to the wearer. Wedding planning must be done very carefully. A Date With A Stranger

By Vaughn Pascal Well, I have decided to move forward once again. I have had two relationships that I thought were it, believed I got all the signs, thought I had found my soulmate. Just to be slapped back into reality once again. I am so tired of the whole dating game. I am now 31 yrs old. I really miss having a family life. I have my son, but I am yearning for so much more. I guess my whole outlook on life was love. That was the most important thing to me. I have since decided that maybe I am putting way to much emphasis on finding the right one and not putting enough effort into meeting new people as friends and possibly potentials. I was just never a dating girl I guess. My friends say, there is no reason for you to always look at every situation and person as a love interest. Am I wrong for looking at it that way? I am definitely not the go out and have fun girl. Meaning I am not a one- night- stand type of person. I have only had one in my lifetime and I am proud of that fact that it was only one. I wouldnt have had that if I wouldve known that was what it was. It seems I have been smart enough or just lucky enough to not have that in my life. No matter what anyone says I dont honestly believe that any self- respecting lady has one- night- stands but hey that is my opinion. I guess you can call me old -fashioned. I want the fairy tale and I have thought, twice now, that I had found it. The first time with my now ex husband and the second time with my now definitely ex boyfriend. I am so furious, not with men but I, myself, I guess. I always put myself, or now put myself in a 100% out there and involved in my relationships. Maybe because I am not the dating type, maybe because I dont want to be played myself. Either way, I dont play games and a lot of people dont, but then some do. I know I am young at 31, but when you put love as a top priority it gets so old when it isnt reciprocated. I will explain me if I havent done that enough already. I am 31 yrs old. I am a single, mother of my son, Dakota, whom is 7 yrs old. I am a student, majoring in Criminal Justice. I am a stay at home mom other than school. I do the best I can. I visit with friends often and they visit me. My friends are my family, I love them dearly. I have family and I am close with some, and very close with others in my family. I am very independent, meaning I dont think I need a man, but I sure would like to spend the rest of my life with one. If that is in the cards. I do not play games. I detest them and people who do play them. I dont need to be with a man 24-7. I like having my free time, and I like doing things with my son that involves us (me and Bub), until I meet the right person that is how it will remain. I dont get my son involved in my relationships. My friends and I spend a great deal of time talking and hanging out together, on a daily basis pretty much. I am not one to bug a man, maybe that is it. Maybe the men I meet just need someone who is well, needy, and that isnt me. I dont call everyday, I dont want to see you everyday if we just met, I want you to accept my son first and foremost but when I feel it is right, You can meet him when I am sure, I want a man to accept my friends and my family. Is that really to much to ask? Treat me with respect and consideration, actually want to be involved and in a relationship with similar goals in mind regarding that, as in a commitment. Is that what we are working towards? I dont want to be committed right off the bat though. I dont think I have asked for a whole lot. I have went out of my comfort zone, giving people the benefit of the doubt to quickly realize I was right in thinking it was a mistake to begin with. My fault, but it still stings. I just want to be happy. I am happy, but I want to be able to be involved and be happy. I want my best friend and soulmate. Is he out there, is he looking? I thought for sure with Jon it would be different but I have no idea why he does what he does and I can see finally, it isnt going to change and it isnt me, he just doesnt get it, the whole love thing, but it is on him, and I am not resentful anymore. I want all my exes to be happy, I truly do. I did meet someone and I have known him for awhile. But you know what I am scared to death because I honestly dont know how to date without looking at a person as a possible love interest, if you know how please tell me. I mean it seems to go against my nature. The big thing is I dont think it is going to be anything but someone to talk to and have fun with because he is only 21. OMG, what am I getting myself into. what made me decide to go out with him, is this, he would always stare at me, now I mean stare, as in walk away turning around backwards to look, when he would come over near me he would look me dead in the eye and to be quite frank I havent had anyone do that for a long time. He is beside himself when we talk for some reason. He always touches his face and rubs his hands through his hair, that nervous reaction you get, ya know what I mean. He will stare me in the eyes when he is talking or walking by, I get a little rush I have to admit. The fact that I dont think it will amount to anything because he is so young kind -of makes it a little more interesting. My date with the baby as I will call him, not in a bad way in a precious name way. I have a habit of nicknaming my exs. I have no idea why. I just do, some arent that precious either, lol. I like this young guys charisma, I like that he isnt intimidated by me. I can tell that by his, look me in the eye, demeanor yet I feel a sense of over -whelming attraction, could be a good thing or bad. All I know is I need a break from being serious, now I am not meaning I am going to sleep with him on our date but I am going to look, or at least try to, look at him differently and I will let you know how it goes. He made me promise to keep the date regardless, and I agreed, so we will see what happens, wish me luck and to you all going out on your first date with someone new, good luck and God bless ya. Private Investigators - Part IV

By Michael Russell In this article about private investigators we're going to discuss the training that's required as well as other qualifications. Unlike most other jobs there are no formal requirements for education to get a job as a private investigator. In spite of this, many private investigators do have college degrees. Most private detectives and investigators do have some kind of related experience in another profession such as in law enforcement. Some may have worked for insurance companies, collection agencies, in private security or even as paralegals. Some may have served in some sort of government position such as a federal intelligence job with the FBI or the CIA. Many private investigators may have even served in the military where many skills are taught that come in quite handy when tackling the job of a detective. What is very common is for people who work in the public sector, who are able to retire after 25 years of service, to become private investigators. These people are usually still relatively young, in their mid 40's, and find it hard to retire at that age. Those who have been exposed to jobs that would assist them in becoming investigators find it an easy transition to go from the one job to the other. For these people it is like starting life all over and many of them find it quite exciting and fulfilling. Some even go back to college to get additional training in order to be better prepared for an investigator's job. In the United States, most states require private investigators to be licensed even though no formal training is required. The requirements for licensing vary from state to state but seven states, Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, and South Dakota, have no licensing requirements. Some states have very few requirements. Many states however, have very strict requirements and it is very difficult in those states to get a private investigator's license. A number of states now have mandatory training programs. For example, in California a person must be 18 years old, must be educated in criminal law, police science and justice, and have a minimum of 6,000 hours of investigation experience. Then on top of all of that they have to pass a criminal history background check by the California Department of Justice and the FBI. They then must take a 2 hour exam and pass with a minimum score. Then if they want to get a gun permit there are additional requirements for that as well. Then to get hired, many firms look for people with certain characteristics such as ingenuity, persistence, and assertiveness. Job applicants can't be afraid of confrontation, should be able to communicate well and be able to think on their feet. They also need good interrogation and interviewing skills. A good investigator also must be able to present the facts in a detailed, organized manner as many times they will be called on to testify in court. In our next article we'll cover where private investigators get their training, how they go about getting employment, what the job outlook is for new investigators and what investigators can expect to earn.

Friends

By Kristy Annely None of us will survive in todays world without the help of our friends. They are the most important things in our lives, next to our family. There are many different types of friends that impact our daily lives. Whether they are your best friends whom you have known since childhood, or recent acquaintances you have just met, they will play a part in your everyday life. Regardless of how old you are, the importance of having friends is self-evident. Those who have friends are generally healthier, and far more adjusted than those with no friends to relate with. When growing up, the importance of having friends is far more obvious than in adult life. Having friends will teach you how to interact with other people, as well as give you interpersonal skills that are important in becoming a successful individual as an adult. Growing up isolated from interaction with others in your age group will severely damage your ability to live a normal life. This is the main argument against home schooling children versus allowing them to attend regular school. Critiques of home schooling argue that preventing them from interacting with schoolmates will hinder their abilities to make friends. Having a friend to talk to during bad times is essential for everyone. Sometimes having someone to talk to about your problem is the necessary therapeutic presence that you need to help you feel better. Most people will agree that the most important source of sanity they have is their friends. If you have found that one person you can call your best friend, someone who will help you with anything without asking questions, and someone who will be there for you anytime anywhere, you are a very lucky person. People spend a lifetime looking for a best friend, yet some never find that person. Others are lucky enough to experience that once in a lifetime bond you will only feel with a best friend. Pastor Help: A Sheep Dog for the Shepherd

By Paul Davis Working for God can be both exhilarating and tiring. It's fun when you feel the Holy Spirit that rose Christ from the dead flowing through you to help people. Yet it can be exhausting when the people exalt you to the place of God and forget to pray to God themselves. We must never forget God will not permit any flesh to glory in His presence (1 Corinthians 1:29). God does not share His glory. As ministers we realize God alone is all powerful, wise and loving. Communicating that to a congregation effectively however requires that sometimes you not always be accessible throughout the week to your people so they can learn to go to Pastor Jesus instead of you. Remember Jesus is the chief Shepherd of the flock and we His under shepherds. Among the fivefold ministry gifts mentioned by the apostle Paul in Ephesians chapter 4, the Pastor is the most residential one of them all. He therefore is by nature most local and accessible. Nevertheless there is a balance that must be achieved and proper protocol to be established to ensure the Pastor maintains his personal sanity and the people direct their focus to God. If a church only knows the Pastoral office and never feeds on any other ministerial gifting it is easy to quickly idolize the Pastor above measure. Each minister has been allotted by God a "measure of rule" within which they are granted a divine grace to get the job done (2Corinthians 10:13). When we try to enlarge ourselves beyond measure and stretch our ministerial mantel beyond our God given grace, a breakdown is inevitable. The day of the one-man show is over. God is looking to build a body of believers who are secure in Him, strong in the Spirit and grounded in His Word. Among the three models of churches in the early New Testament, the church at Antioch proved to be most in alignment with the model of developing breakthrough believers. The church at Jerusalem was primarily built on the apostle Peter's personality (Acts 2), without which when persecution hit the church they all scattered (Acts 8). The is quite common for many churches established upon the senior Pastor's personality. When the Senior Pastor is away the attendance declines and the offerings decrease. The church at Ephesus was one in transition as Priscilla and Aguila showed the way of God more perfectly to Apollos (Acts 18:24-26). We all need mentors. Even ministers need ministry to strengthen, encourage and empower them. This Apollos received and as a result he grew into another level of meaningful ministry. In the natural realm, every shepherd has a sheep dog to help keep the sheep in order. The sheep dog barks a bit and gives the shepherd some rest throughout the day. The sheep dog has his own way of getting through to the sheep. The sheep dog may be a bit more rough, but nevertheless the same results are derived. A sheep dog in modern day church vernacular could fall within the fivefold ministry offices. Such a minister could be local within your congregation or in the body of Christ at large worldwide. This sheep dog of sorts can take the pulpit for the Pastor and say certain things to the congregation that the Pastor might want to say but be a bit hesitant in articulating. The sheep dog can be a bit more bold and aggressive in order to get the sheep to wake up, come into alignment with the vision and stop fighting one another. When a Pastor is weary in well doing, he needs to call in a sheep dog to bark a while. Don't let your congregation, church committee or a few irritating church members get the best of you. Call in the sheep dog to help set the house in order! Paul Davis is a traveling minister and author of several books. Japanese Garden Benches

By Jennifer Bailey Garden benches are found all over the world and are usually decorative as well as functional. They not just provide a comfortable resting option for walkers but also add to the aesthetic charm of a garden. The benches in Japanese gardens are seen as an extraordinary piece of work. The most important consideration while choosing Japanese garden benches is to keep in mind the garden styling, as these benches can be adapted according to the garden. In the Japanese concept of gardens the benches are fashioned to suit the ambiance and not vice versa. Regular wooden benches can be used in different ways in Japanese gardens. The materials used for these benches are quite immaterial, as in fact any type of bench can be converted into a Japanese garden bench by placing it in a suitable Japanese garden. These benches do not necessarily have to be made of stone or have a rustic look. The prime importance while choosing a Japanese garden bench is to pay attention to that the fact that is it comfortable and surrounded by natural beauty, and that it does not look out of place. To give the Japanese garden benches an authentic look, certain accessories can also be used. Such accessories include garden ornaments, garden supplies, Japanese pond ornaments and garden accents among other things. Some other such garden accessories are granite lanterns, rain chains, bamboo fountains, stone lanterns, iron lanterns and other such items. Japanese garden benches are usually fashioned according to such accessories so that they fall in line with the rest of the pieces in the gardens. Japanese garden benches are usually found easily as anything that is simple and comfortable, and not too exquisite in itself can be classified as one. Garden Bench provides detailed information on garden benches, discount garden benches, how to build a garden bench, metal garden benches and more. Don't Ask These Drill Questions In Your Relationships!

By Cucan Pemo When you are in a relationship you need to know what you should ask and what you should keep to yourself. You may not know that when you are asking your partner something that you think is important, you may actually be insulting them and make a very large strain on the relationship as well. You need to be aware of these questions and keep them on the back burner as long as you can. 1. Do not ask your man what they are doing when they are not with you. This question is sometimes not the right thing to ask. You may want to think about it first so that you can determine if it is going to the right question at that moment. You may not have to know where your partner is during every second that you are not with them. However, if you think that your partner is doing something that they are not, you should be a little bit suspicious so that you are not setting yourself up for a terrible failure. 2. Get to know your partner and what their personality is. You should not drill your mate on different things that you think you just have to know. You should think about this before you decide to use your detective work. You do not want to ask your man the questions that are going to be insulting to them. You should first make sure that you have some kind of proof before you start to drill them and make them very uncomfortable with the conversation. 3. You have to know when to quit asking questions. You should not drill a man until the point that they feel uncomfortable. You need to make sure that you are not being too pushy. If you are pushing them too much, you may find that you lose out on something that is so important to you. 4. Never drill a man about what they do with their other friends. You should not make a man feel uncomfortable by asking them what they do on their down time with their other male friends. You need to let them have their space so that they are not feeling like you and all of your questions are invading them. You want them to be comfortable with you and have the knowledge that you can both go and have your own friends and have fun even when you are not around them. 5. Never embarrass your man by drilling them with questions when they are with their friends. You do not want to get them upset and very mad by asking them things that are private and that you need to talk to them about in private. This is something that you need to do so that you are not risking an argument with your mate in front of their friends. 6. Never ask a man what they do when they are alone. This is something that you may not want to know. It may be a little bit scary. You never know what you are going to hear and it may even be more than you want to know. Think carefully before you ask your questions because you may have to prepare yourself for what you find out. 7. There are different things that happen at work that you may not need to know. You should not drill a man about what they are doing at work if they are not ready to let you know. You may want to know what you are going on to some point. However there are things that a man would rather keep to himself. You have to learn how to respect that and let them have their space just as you would appreciate to have your own. This is something that you can do that also means that you are giving them respect that they deserve as well. You will find that when you allow them to have their space, you may even have a better relationship from having independence too. Using good judgment to what you should know and what you should let go will help you have a better relationship with a man. I know that it may be hard but you have to do what will work best in your relationship and not seem too pushy at the same time. You would appreciate the same type of respect from him too. Seven Clues To Mystery Babylon in Revelation

By William Bell, Jr. From Fear and Fascination to Faith and Facts My first encounter with the book of Revelation was fear. Who didn't get a few chills running down their spine about the number 666, the "mark of the beast," the seven plagues and this dramatic portrayal of the endtime? That fear kept me from wanting to know more about this book, though I was drawn to it. Then I stumbled across a study that made an intelligent versus fanciful media-hyped approach to the book. It addressed it as a coded message, but written to the first century church who were part of its history and time. That evidence focused on the date of the book. It raised and answered the question, was it written pre or post A.D. 70? Thirdly, an investigation of the internal evidence and alignment with other texts as commentary overruled the temptation to rely on imagination and the media. This was one of the most enlightening and satisfying decisions in my quest to understand the message of Revelation. What follows are a few keys that were convincing to me. What Is A Mystery? A mystery is not something which cannot be known, but simply that which is not known until it is revealed. The seven points in this article are now a mystery, but if you read further, they will become manifest to you. In Revelation, "Babylon" is a code word for the mystery city. The book is not about ancient Babylon nor modern day Iraq. Babylon was used as a sign to disguise in military-type code, the identity of the city. Why? It's because this city was marked for destruction. The political climate of the day made it extremely dangerous to speak openly of destroying this city, (Acts 6:14) especially by Christians who were viewed as its chief enemies. The preaching of Jerusalem's impending destruction led to Stephen's martyrdom, (Acts 7). Its connection with ancient Babylon was its moral decay and idolatry. Ancient Babylon's fall was precipitated by their pride and disrespect for God, the persecution of God's people and the profaning of the temple's holy vessels . Thus Belshazzar's feast led to the demise of his kingdom. Hence the term Mystery Babylon. 1. "The Great City, --Where The Lord Was Crucified) Further identifying Mystery Babylon as the great city (Revelation 17:18; 18:10), leads us to clue number one. The great city of Revelation is identified as the city spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified." (Revelation 11:8) Besides the actual city, there is only one city in the Bible ever referred to as Sodom. It is Jerusalem, (Deuteronomy 32:32; Isaiah 1:10). The description, where also our Lord was crucified is strong evidence pointing to Jerusalem. Further, it could not be that a prophet perish outside of Jerusalem, Luke 13:33. Jerusalem was called the city of the great King. (Matthew 5:35) To the Jews it was the greatest city in the world. 2. The Golden Cup of Abominations The imagery of the filled cup of iniquity indicates that God's period of longsuffering had run its course. Genesis 15:16 shows why God expelled the Amorites from the land in order that Israel might inherit Canaan. The reason he did not do so immediately was because the iniquity of the Amorites was not yet full. Their cup of sin yet had room for more and did not run its course until the time of the Exodus. Jesus spoke to the people of Jerusalem warning them that they would fill up the measure of their father's guilt in killing the prophets. See point #3. Paul says they had filled up the measure of their sins and would experience the coming wrath. (1 Thessalonians 2:14-16). 3. God Would Avenge All The Righteous Blood Shed on Earth By Jerusalem. Mystery Babylon was guilty of shedding the blood of the apostles and prophets, (Revelation 18:20). However, God avenged the blood of the apostles and prophets. Not only was their blood be avenged, but God avenged all the blood shed on the earth on Mystery Babylon, (v. 24). Jesus predicted the same for Jerusalem. In Matthew 23:34-37, Jerusalem is charged with the blood guilt of all the righteous blood shed on the earth up to that time. Jesus would send more wise men, scribes and prophets whom he said they would scourge in their synagogues and persecute from city to city until he destroyed Jerusalem. It therefore matches perfectly with this description. 4. The "Mystery Babylon" Was Once a Queen. This identifies the city as having a covenant relationship with God. Neither ancient Rome, nor any other modern city could appropriately be styled as God's wife. Through the Old Covenant, God was married to Jerusalem, (Jeremiah 2:14). Because of her unfaithfulness, God threatens divorce. While Mystery Babylon claims to be a queen, she is widowed. (Revelation 18:7) 5. The Antithesis of the Two Cities The contrast of the two cities in Revelation are a strong clue to the identity of Mystery Babylon. After the great city, Mystery Babylon is destroyed, God blesses a New Jerusalem. That implies an Old Jerusalem. This is the same antithesis running throughout the New Testament expressed in covenantal terms. (See Galatians 4:24-26; Hebrews 8:6-13; 12:18-23). The new Jerusalem however is not an earthly city but one which comes down out of heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband, (Revelation 21:1-3). Paul writes that the church is the bride of Christ, 1 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:23-31, Hebrews 12:22, 23). The new holy city Jerusalem, takes the position as bride while the former adulterous wife receives death by fire. 6. Come Out of Her My People The call to God's people to come out of Mystery Babylon" (Revelation 18:4) further aligns with the ancient city of Jerusalem. Prior to its destruction, Jesus warned that his disciples should flee the city to avoid its plagues of destruction, famine and death. (Matthew 24:15-17; Luke 21:20-22). 7. Trodden Down of the Gentiles In Luke 21:24, Jesus remarks that Jerusalem would be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles were fulfilled. Unfortunately, today, many believe the Gentiles are rulers over the people of God. This is impossible as that period ended in A.D. 70 when Rome destroyed Jerusalem. It was the time when all things written were fulfilled, coming to pass before that generation passed away, (Luke 21:22, 32). As old Jerusalem was once called the faithful and holy city, John prophesied that it was measured for destruction, (Revelation 11:2). Old Jerusalem Is A Perfect Match Everything said about Jerusalem in the gospels, is symbolically described for Mystery Babylon in the book of Revelation. There are more contrasts and parallels but these should at least get one thinking. Fanciful and colorful charts as those presented by John Hagee and others will forever fail to properly identify the Mystery Babylon as long as they are pointed in the future and toward some city or nation that has no antithesis with old Jerusalem. Further, a modern or present day Jerusalem, does not descend from heaven and can never be the holy city of Revelation 21. The message and meaning of Revelation seems best and most easily understood when one values the shortly to come to pass, time is at hand time parameter of the message keeping it within a contemporary, historical setting of its first century hearers, (Revelation 1:1, 3. It may not frighten us as much, but it certainly encourages us with the message of faith, confidence in God's sovereign power and victory over the forces of evil. Contemplating Selling Your Cell Tower Lease For A Lump Sum?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ken_Schmidt]Ken Schmidt Many landowners who have leased land for a cell tower on their property are receiving letters from third party companies. These letters suggest to the landowner that due to wireless carrier consolidation and due to technology, that the cell tower lease may be terminated early. By selling the lease to one of these companies, the landowner averts the risk of early termination and can recieve a lump sum immediately. What is important to note is that these companies would not be interested in buying the lease if they felt that there was a significant risk that the lease would, in fact, be terminated. The reality is that cell towers are going to be around for a long time and the leases will continue. That is not to say that your particular cell tower lease is not susceptible to termination, especially in light of carrier consolidation. Recently, wireless companies like AT&T and Cingular have merged. (Both AT&T and Cingular are trademarks of their respective companies). Estimates of how many duplicative sites will be terminated as a result of this merger range from 8,000 to 20,000 sites. While the exact number is unknown, some landowners will receive termination letters in the mail. It is possible to determine whether or not your particular site is susceptible to termination by reviewing the cell towers in your area. The sale of the land leases for a lump sum is one way of averting this risk. Additionally, there are other reasons why an individual landowner might want to consider selling his cell tower lease rights. These reasons include a scenario where the landowner has plans to sell the underlying property in the next few years. Another scenario is where the lump sum payment can be used to extinguish existing high interest debt. One area that every landowner contemplating selling a cell tower lease should be concerned with is the taxation of the transaction. It is imperative that you consult with your accountant regarding any offer and whether or not the payment is susceptible to capital gains treatment. Lastly, there are industry experts available who can assist you in the determination of whether or not the sale of your lease asset is a sensible decision. Make sure that before you make a potentially costly decision, you consult with your accountant and industry experts. Ken Schmidt is the owner of Steel in the Air, a cell tower consulting firm. 12 Free Beauty Tips: Make-Up And Cosmetics

By Mike Jones Use these 12 free beauty tips to ensure you get the maximum benefit from your choice of make-up and cosmetics: 1. When shopping for lip color and eye shadow, put a clean sheet of white paper in your bag. New lip colors can be tested on the paper along with a strip of eye shadow. You can then examine the colors in daylight outside, away from the artificial lighting in the store. 2. Fragrance: Use two light formulas together to lock a scent in rather than a heavy application of one fragrance which can overwhelm those close to you. Using a scented body cream and then lightly spraying with an eau de toilette or parfum of the same scent will still result in a long-lasting effect. 3. Just use regular cold cream to remove oil-based makeup. 4. Make your nails seem more slender by applying a dark nail varnish down the center part of the nail being careful not to take it right to the edge of the sides of nail. 5. When testing the color of a foundation and you are already wearing a foundation, use the areas on your neck or inner arm. The skin tone in these areas matches the face more closely than the hands and a better judgment can be made. 6. To find the best spot to apply blush, smile widely, take note of where the cheek rises to a round shape. This lifted part of the cheek is the best place for blush to look natural as a flush will often color this area of the cheek. 7. For concealer to last many hours, be sure to apply it in small amounts at a time in two or three layers. This technique guarantees long wear. 8. With oily skin, avoid toners that contain alcohol as these can dry out the skin and block impurities beneath the surface. To avoid over drying the skin use toners containing AHA's. They help to smooth the skin's texture. 9. Every so often gather all the make-up you have from various places and do an analysis. Be ruthless and throw out anything over two years old, that has a musty odor, that is messy or runny, where liquids have separated, or anything that is dirty or falling apart such as sponges and brushes. By optimizing in this way you can purchase new supplies where needed and keep your make-up kit in top condition. 10. If you have oily skin, use very little moisturizer or, if possible, none at all. Too much moisturizer on oily skin can cause makeup to slide away. 11. If lip lines are a problem, apply lipstick vertically instead of horizontally. 12. When removing makeup, take a Q-tip which has been dipped in a non-oily remover and run it over the eyelashes to take off any remaining mascara.
